What was once home to the famous Australian poet A.B Banjo is now a romantic restaurant setting to say 'I do' in Gladesville. Set in 5 acres of picturesque parkland, Banjo Paterson Cottage restaurant is perfect for garden ceremonies overlooking the ocean and reception in the characterful cottage or out on the verandahs. There is also a tidal jetty so you can arrive by boat.
Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates from a beautiful sandstone building dating back to the 1830's. Classified by the National Trust, "Rockend" is where A.B.'Banjo' Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.
Set in 5 acres of parkland the cottage is directly surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the water. Banjo Paterson's is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The fully air-conditioned restaurant offers several private dining rooms, ideal for seated wedding receptions.
Immediately below the cottage is a substantial private jetty, suitable for all types of boats also allowing access to water taxis , a lovely way for the bride & groom or guests to arrive or depart.
The Restaurant's primary function is a la carte dining, however the restaurant is available for functions any day of the week.
