Our process, book an appointment for a consultation, try the designs from my collection or discuss specific ideas you may have. We then put together the perfect design and provide a quote. This can be for a design exactly as you've tried or a custom design created just for you. I can advise you on what will best work on your proportions, colouring and stlyle. There's no alterartion costs as your gown is custonm made to fit you perfectly, no matter what your size on your wedding date. We time the final fitting and pick up appointment to be between three and one week prior to your wedding so you can relax knowing the gown will fit you perfectly on the day.

We love 9-12 months to be organised, but can often accomodate a shorter time frame if our schedule allows, so it's good to get organised sooner than later. Once you decide to book in, we take a deposit and order all of the fabrics needed so they're here ready for your first fitting, which is usually five or six months prior to your wedding date. There are most often 4 fittings and a pick up appointment. You 'll see your gown take shape over the lead up to your wedding which is a lovely experience to share with your mum, sisters or bridesmaids. All of our gowns are made in our Sydney atelier in beautiful fabrics and you would be surpised that by the time you add the cost of alterations to an off the rack gown, you can have a custom made one, often at a comparable cost, so it's worth exploring your options before deciding.

What you're describing in your question is the process for an off the rack experience and gown that's made overseas in your nearest size, which then needs alterations. If you go down that route, you would line up the alterations so they are a month or so out from your wedding to ensure your gown will fit. This can add a huge amount to the cost of the gown, so make sure you ask lots of questions before you commit to buy your gown in a set size. By far the best option is going with a designer who will customise your dress to fit you perfectly. Best of luck, Louise xx

It really depends on a few factors, is there a dress code for the wedding? If it's black tie or formal, then a long dress is definately appropriate, if it's cocktail or less formal, you can still wear long, but it's probably a nice thing to do, to check in with the mother of the bride and the bride first and see what they think. At the end of the day, you should wear what you feel good in. A long dress can still not be over the top dressy, so perhaps it's more about getting the right formality, than getting the right length. If you do decide to get a long dress, you can always have it tailored to ankle length in most cases, so if you love a dress that's long, you could buy it and have the length adjusted if you need to. Hi there, if you are having your gown made to measure by us, we usually require three to four fittings and a pick up appointment, these appointments are fun and take around an hour, it's lovely to see your gown created to be just perfect on your body, and the beauty of a custom made dress is that we can get the details like the neckline and fullness just how you like them, so you know you're going to feel fantastic in it on your wedding day. Some of our demi-couture gowns can be fitted with only one fitting and one pick up appointment, so it can depend what kind of gown you are after. I hope thart helps, best of luck, Louise.
