Thank you for your question. It's certainly not compulsory to give bomboniere to guests.  I have attended many weddings and there was only one wedding I can think of where they chose not to give bomboniere. It was a very elegant and expensive wedding so it didn't really matter as the guests were treated to a delicious 5 star 3 course meal in a beautiful setting.  I think if your budget will allow it, it's a nice idea.  You can spend anything from $1.00 to $10.00 and still find something nice to decorate the tables with and a little gift for your guests to take home.  Chocolates are always a winner for all ages and genders.  We have quality 25g embossed foil wrapped heart milk chocolates called 'Romeo Hearts' which are a decent sized chocolate (like having a small chocolate bar) and look lovely placed on the tables just as they are. For $1.30 per chocolate (available in pks of 50 pcs) it's an affordable option.  Your choice of gold, silver, red or pink embossed foil.  The chocolate tastes delicious and we source them from a local chocolate manufacturer.

Otherwise our affordable personalised mini honey jars are popular for all ages and genders. Most people love honey!  We can offer little personalised jelly bean jars for the children too.

Hope this is helpful.  Regards, Kelly

Giving a bomboniere gift is certainly a personal decision for you and your groom.  I feel it is a lovely idea to provide your guests with a thank you gift to take home to remember your special day.

At Unique Living Gifts we create a living succulent garden for each guest to take home and remember your special day.  Each gift has propogated plants in quality soil decorated with stones on top and a funky resin animal in each pot.  Your thank you message and date of the wedding stamped on the back of the tag.  I believe these bomboniere are suitable for male and female guests .. everyone loves a living gift to place on their kitchen window sill to enjoy and remember the two of you.

Great question and congrats on your pending nuptials.

Bomboniere started in France over 300 years ago.  A small box of of bon-bons was given at various celebrations including weddings & christenings, this then spread through to other parts of europe in particular Greece & Italy.  It originally consisted of and uneven number of sugar coated almonds, representing the hi's and lows of married life.  The five almonds represented happiness, health, wealth, children and a long life.

Bomboniere has evolved over the years and you will see many wonderful and creative ideas many of which double up as the place card setting.  At the end of the day this is you and your partners special day so if you want to forego the bomboniere that is entirely up to you and your partner.

If you are looking for a gender netural gift we supply personalised glassware.  We can include your names and message on the glassware.  Feel free to check us out on the Easy Weddings website.

I hope the above explanation of Bomboniere has helped you and wish you all the very best as you plan your special day.

Best Wishes

Hi

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Bomboniere are traditionally given to guests as a thank you for joining you on your special day.

At Rescued Records we create drink coasters created from unwanted/damaged records that are coated, making them heat and water resistant and have rubber backing that is made from recycled Aussie tyres. There are many different artists, genre and colour combinations available.

I believe these bomboniere are great for both males and females and create great interest looking up the artists and songs.

You can also have your personal wedding details stamped on the back so your guests can take away a unique gift to remind them of your amazing day.

So check out Rescued Records in the Bomboniere section for photos.

Enjoy your planning!!

Kind regards
