The venue itself is beautiful but be prepared to be quite restricted on what you can and can't do and remember that only food and beverage will be included in the minimum spend, anything and literally anything outside of that is not included in that price. Unfortunately the entertainment we really wanted (and a couple of other back ups) refused to play at the River Room at Noosa Boathouse due to what they said were unrealistic agreements they had to sign. Our MC had the microphone taken off her because for a second when introducing the speeches, she started singing, which they considered to be karaoke!! And without any warning, no more microphone so forget about trying to tell everyone about the cake! I had heard that they cared more about those in the restaurant and that came across throughout the night. I'm not sure why they would allow wedding receptions to be held above a restaurant if they're worried about the noise but anyway... also the person we were dealing with at the beginning suddenly left and no one told us, we found out from our stylists!! Oh and that's something else to consider, they really only like you to use the suppliers they recommend so make sure you like them before signing anything! Lastly, we questioned how they allocated money on a bar tab, which didn't seem to add up, and we had been charged for drinks that were included in our package etc and when we questioned it we were basically told that it shouldn't ruin what was otherwise a special night. A fee guests mentioned how rude the coordinator was also. Honestly everything else we had planned for our day and night went perfectly, all other suppliers were fantastic.... it was only the Noosa Boathouse that let us down.
