I had my wedding ceremony and wedding reception at Holroyd Centre in March 2021. I wanted to have a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, which required having an open ceremony flame. After searching online through numerous venues and being told a flame was against their policies, I was pleasantly surprised by the flexibility and tailored packages that Holroyd Centre offered, both in their garden setting and indoors. They definitely catered to people's individual cultural needs and weren't limited to the standard "white wedding" of other venues. After having an initial tour of the building, never having been there before, I was impressed by their renovated, modern facilities, pretty ceilings and walls, plush decorated carpeting, cool bar area and classic-looking staircase. I could already picture some great wedding photos in the foyer. Wedding planning with Dean and Narelle was super easy. I just told them what I wanted and they did all the work for me! They organised the wedding timeline, the catering, DJ, getaway car, decorations including fairy lights, set up the seating, put up a cake table, a wishing well and all those other bits and pieces I had not even thought about (like setting out highchairs for babies). They kept in touch throughout the planning process and gave me great recommendations for suppliers. My frequent change-of-mind decisions didn't seem to bother Dean and Narelle and they were both extremely helpful and accommodating. I ended up booking two rooms, one downstairs for the ceremony and one upstairs for the reception. This meant my guests and I had the whole place to ourselves, including the whole adjoining council parking lot with free parking. It made getting to and from the wedding really convenient for my guests, especially those with young kids.
