We started by going to the Encore wedding expo which provided us with great knowledge on the venue, different set up options and even a list of suppliers who Encore work with regularly. Once we decided on Encore we were supplied a wedding coordinator who helped us plan the finer detail of the day. Their communication was exceptional and helped to keep us on track as we needed to plan our special day. They accommodated our needs and helped us to execute our ideas. Our reception was at Encore and our ceremony was at St Kilda Botanical Gardens.

Wedding Venues

Margot was our photographer and James our videographer on the day from Hey Jack. We immediately clicked and I knew pretty quickly they were both exceptional at their jobs. Margot gave us great direction on the day to get the perfect shots. She was calm and blended in with having fun with the bridal party. They both even jumped in to help us problem solve when a bird pooped on my dress and my heel got stuck in a deck. I have already seen a snapshot of the photos from our wedding and they are beautiful beyond our imagination. We persisted with the weather and Margot always insisted it was best for natural light putting our mind at ease. I could not recommend Hey Jack more highly.

My dress was custom made from my own design. The couturier was Eva Tomala and she was brilliant. She spent many months perfecting the corset and when my dress came to life, it brought tears to my eyes. She made me feel like such a beautiful bride. I loved every detail of my dress and watching the process to get it made.

A great addition to the night and loved looking back on all the photos taken in the booth. Highly recommend the options with the larger photos (6x4) with a wedding logo. These were great for people to take home on the day and a great memory for us of the day.
