We booked The Elandra resort out for three nights. Our package included everything; transfers from/to the airport, accommodation, meals including a Welcome Dinner and Farewell BBQ. On our guests arrival we organized a personalized ‘recovery kit’ in their rooms to prepare them for a weekend of celebrations. We had the wedding reception around the pool deck. The setup up is beautiful as is, but we decided to bring in additional lounge furniture, flowers, lighting and personalised touches such as the ‘LA’ in the pool, personalized candles, cushions and signage to make it really special to us.

What can I say about Karen. I first met Karen at the Cairns Wedding Expo. Karen was new to the industry and it was her first expo. As soon as I met her, I immediately knew that I wanted her to be our celebrant. She was so genuine and so warming and she created such a beautiful ceremony for us. Thank you Karen!

The photos say it all! Ben and Cath from Sass Studios captured the day perfectly. I first met Ben when we were looking for wedding venues in Port Douglas. I had seen their work before and their photos were so bright and naturally captured. They are such lovely people too.

We are so incredibly happy with our wedding video. Glenn from Threadless Films is a creative genius. He was so easy to deal with and on the wedding day we didn’t even notice he was there filming. He captured every moment beautifully and created a video that we will treasure forever and ever. Thank you Glenn!

Jason was on the X Factor and as soon as I heard him perform ‘Latch’ on the show, I really wanted him to sing it for our first dance at our wedding. Luckily enough for us, Adam’s brother in law knew him and organized him and his band to come up and be our entertainment. They were amazing! Everyone was up on the dancefloor the whole night and our first dance to ‘Latch’ was so special.

Jenny did a fabulous job with our flowers. I really wanted a pop of colour against the scenery so I chose shades of pink and mauve to go with the gold vases. Our bridal bouquets included stunning peonies (my favourite flower) and they were absolutely exquisite. The arbour floral arrangement was also the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Jenny was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Jenny!
