As a gay couple planning our wedding, choosing the right planner was really important to us. We wanted someone who just got it without making it a “thing”, and from our very first conversation, Gary and his team felt like the right fit. Throughout the planning stage, Gary took the time to explain everything clearly and in plain language. Nothing felt rushed or overly salesy. We always felt listened to and supported, and any questions we had were answered quickly and thoughtfully. It was obvious early on that he genuinely cared about getting things right for us. In the lead-up to the wedding, Gary and his team really stepped in and took control in the best possible way. Timelines were locked in, suppliers were coordinated, and details we hadn’t even thought about were quietly sorted. It felt like someone had a complete handle on the day, which allowed us to finally relax and enjoy the lead-up instead of stressing. On the day itself, Gary and his team were calm, discreet, and completely on top of everything. If anything went wrong, we never knew about it. Everything ran smoothly, the schedule stayed on track, and we didn’t have to manage a single person or problem. We were able to be fully present and actually enjoy getting married. What really stood out was how comfortable and respected we felt the entire time. As a same-sex couple, that ease matters. Gary and his team made us feel completely at home and treated our wedding like any other, which meant a lot to us. We honestly can’t recommend Gary and his team at Oli Events highly enough. Professional, organised, warm, and genuinely invested in making the day run seamlessly. Hands down the best decision we made for our wedding.
