As we researched and visited different venues, what stood out about Wynnum Golf Club was how simple and transparent they were about coordinating the event. At some places we found ourselves having to ask follow up questions and reading fine print about additional fees, whereas at WGC, everything required was clearly included in their overall pricing. Not only that, but when there were small amendments we wanted made, they adjusted the cost accordingly. They were so open toward making the event everything we wanted it to be. Their connections with local vendors was helpful, but for any we went a different way with, WGC embraced and supported them all the same. It's cheesy, but it didn't feel like we were hiring a venue, it felt like they were inviting us into their home - and what a beautiful home! The course offered several unique photo opportunities. We kept the decorations simple and that's all we needed, as the space was lovely on its own. The work their recommended decorator did was fantastic in making it feel special for us. We were both stunned walking in to see the finished product of everyone's efforts. It was perfect. It was never a battle with Fiona or Isabel, they attentive to our needs and wishes for everything. We had various allergens to cater for and everyone reported back how well accommodated they were. There were similar comments in relation to how smoothly the event ran. There have been several little things we noticed at the time, or can think of in hindsight that they did not have to do, but did for us anyway. Small touches and inclusions that they could have put a price tag on, but just did for us in what felt like a genuine effort to make the event everything it could be. At no time in the build up was it a problem to pop in and drop something off. They were prompt in handling any questions we had (which ramped up as the day neared). They also kindly offered advice on several things, not shy of doing so even if it meant saving us a few dollars. We trusted their experience and they got it all right. Every member of staff was warm and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. There are a terrific team.
