We knew from our first site tour and meeting with their wedding coordinator, that Clyde Park was going to be the venue of our dreams and set the whole vibe of our wedding. Everything from the breathtaking views, mouthwatering food, incredible team and all inclusive ceremony/reception elements made Clyde Park our dream wedding venue, and we built the rest of our wedding around the location. Getting married in March weather was always going to be a consideration, and the multitude of options they have to every weather condition was a huge bonus! We opted for the river gazebo ceremony location and it was just perfect. Our guests took the scenic bus trip down the winding valley through the vineyard to the river and into the picturesque countryside feel amongst the towering gum trees. Cocktail hour was up on the terrace with the breathtaking views of the rolling hills and valley, and the reception was in the spectacular barrel room adorned with fairy lights, white drapes and rustic barrels that felt cozy and romantic. Having the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dance floor all in the one location was a non-negotiable for us, and Clyde Park knocked it out of the park in every one of these areas!! Now the food! Omg! If you’ve never experienced the wood fire pizzas, delicious seafood or mouthwatering slow cooks lamb shoulder, you are missing out! We are both HUGE foodies, so a wedding venue that nailed the food for our guests and made sure no one went hungry was of the highest importance. Our guests still rave about all of the food and wine throughout the night, the quality, the quantity and the unforgettable food experience! Not to mention the lovely Sue (owner) is also an incredible baker and created our dream wedding cake for us, with a custom cake testing to ensure we both got what we wanted and dessert was covered for the night! We opted for a two tier cake, chocolate and raspberry for my layer with a dark chocolate filling and Ben went with a sticky date and dulce de leche filling - honestly the best cake we’ve ever had - and all included in our wedding package! One less thing to think about organising and transporting on the day! The location, views, food and experience were all incredible but what it really came down to was the people. Terry and Sue (owners) and Courtenay (wedding planner) were who really made our whole wedding planning experience so incredible, fun, relaxing and enjoyable! Their communication was above and beyond, they were so responsive, so flexible and so supportive of all of our wedding ideas and dreams. They sat down with us on multiple occasions to answer all of our hundreds of questions, took us on multiple site tours, fed us at every meeting and made us feel like family. We visited 10 different wedding venues across Geelong and the Bellarine in our planning phase, and no other venue came close to Clyde Park. Every moment from introduction to planning to execution on the day was completely flawless and we could not fault a single thing. We highly recommend Clyde Park to any couples thinking about a winery venue for their wedding - look no further!!
