We had The Lonely Weekenders play for our wedding at the ceremony, canapes period and then in our reception. They performed as an amazing duo for the first to items before hitting out in a 5-piece (guitar, drums, bass, sax, keyboard and vocals) for our ceremony. Throughout our entire interaction of enquiring about services, to arranging for specific requests, non-set periods of play, and everything in between, Jenni and Gaz were amazing to work with. I spent a week at work listening to every wedding band under the sun, but when we heard their music on their website I knew that they were something special. It was not hard to convince my wife that this was the band for us. We are both very picky with music so when we made our list, there was just one band that stood out. This was confirmed when we heard them live in St Kilda with our dog, and introduced ourselves. They were incredibly friendly, excited and just knew how to pull a crowd. They sounded unbelievable and it was one of the simplest decisions for us to lock them in to perform. Jenni and Gaz were amazing as a duo throughout our reception and canapes providing the right vibe to fill the room. When the time came for our reception, they were absolutely phenomenal. They were able to easily incorporate our requests (including a traditional hora with special contribution and enthusiasm from Max the Sax God) and make sure everyone had a good time. Throughout the night they played hits and made sure that all genres and song requests were covered. They have an amazing and extensive set list (beyond what they list) to ensure there is something for everyone. Often they sound even better than the original production! We had so many complements about our band and we have to say that if you do not hire The Lonely Weekenders, you are doing yourself a disservice. Easily the best wedding band out there. You will have no regrets about having Jenni and Gaz (along with Lani on Bass, Adam on Drums and Max on Sax should you want to go all out). We cannot recommend The Lonely Weekenders more highly, they were at least 12/10. We are so very grateful for their service and being part of our special day, Gabrielle and Michael
