We couldn’t have been happier with Copper Beech as our florist. Deb was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish — warm, easygoing and incredibly talented. She created the most beautiful floral arrangements for our ceremony and reception, as well as my bouquet and my husband’s buttonhole. She completely nailed the brief: native Australian flowers in greens and whites, with soft hints of pink where it felt right. The result was spectacular. Deb used stunning king proteas, banksias, eucalyptus, paper daisies and gumnuts throughout, and everything worked together so naturally and cohesively. She also had a great understanding of the setting at The Boathouse at Shelly Beach, ensuring the florals blended seamlessly with the venue’s existing greenery rather than competing with it. Copper Beech were also very reasonably priced and never once pushed us to meet a minimum spend or add unnecessary extras, which we really appreciated. We were absolutely delighted with everything Deb created and would highly recommend Copper Beech to anyone looking for a florist who truly listens and delivers something special.

Wedding Flowers

We couldn’t recommend SCR Music more highly. We booked an acoustic duo, Summer and Michael, who performed during our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, followed by DJ Gideon for the evening — and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. Summer and Michael were absolutely outstanding. The acoustic music set the tone for the entire day and created such a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. The ceremony songs were perfect, and they were more than happy to learn specific songs we requested, which made the moments feel incredibly personal and special. Their sound, timing and overall presence were spot on. DJ Gideon then took over in the evening and was fantastic. Even with a relatively small group, he completely nailed the vibe and had the dance floor going. He read the room perfectly and kept the energy up without it ever feeling forced. From start to finish, SCR Music delivered an exceptional experience and played a huge role in making our wedding feel exactly how we’d hoped. We would highly recommend SCR Music to anyone looking for talented, professional and genuinely great musicians for their wedding.

The Boathouse at Shelly Beach truly know how to host a wedding. From our initial enquiry through to the day itself, the team were consistently responsive, professional, experienced, helpful and genuinely friendly. The setting and presentation of the venue were outstanding. The space is already so beautifully styled that you really get excellent value for money—it doesn’t require much additional styling or florals to feel wedding-ready. The staff on the day and evening were warm, attentive and incredibly professional. Everything ran seamlessly and exactly as planned, and they went above and beyond at the end of the night by carefully wrapping our flowers into paper bunches so we could easily take them home. The food and drinks were excellent. Our guests were well looked after and never left hungry, and the team made a special effort to ensure that we, as the bride and groom, didn’t miss out either—even setting aside a plate of canapés for us while we were out having photos taken. We had the most beautiful day, and the venue was perfect for a relaxed yet elegant summer wedding. We would highly recommend The Boathouse at Shelly Beach to anyone considering it.
