We were keen on having a relaxed, wedding near the water that was also flexible enough to accommodate indoor/outdoor moments, given the unpredictability of Melbourne weather in September. Encore ticked all the boxes - right on St Kilda beach, easy for guests to get to and a modern interior that worked well with our minimalist aesthetic. The sunset on our wedding day was incredible and the perfect backdrop for photos both inside the venue as well as the beachfront terrace area of Encore. The location also meant that during cocktail hour, guests could grab a drink at Republica, take a walk along the beach or enjoy a cruise around the bay that we’d organised, departing from St Kilda pier. The Encore team was so easy to work with from the outset, and the service on our wedding day was impeccable. And the food!!! Well-exceeded our expecations and we had pretty much every single guest raving about how good it was. Thanks to the team for helping us bring our vision to life for our special day.

Josh has an easygoing and calm approach that ensured the atmosphere was warm and friendly, filled with love and shared with our close friends and family, rather than overly performative or formal.
