Vibe on point at this Zest Boathouse at The Spit wedding

Sparkling Sydney Harbour views, the most stunning outdoor ceremony location, and an elegant rustic aesthetic created an incredible vibe for Georgie and Mitch’s Zest Boathouse at The Spit wedding.

The Sydney high school sweethearts said their ‘I dos’ on December 4, 2020, with just over 100 guests. Their day kicked off beneath clear blue skies on the sun-drenched lawn at Pearl Bay Reserve directly opposite Zest Boathouse, with postcard-perfect scenery in every direction.

Georgie, wearing a Louise Alvarez silk slimline gown, and Mitch decked out in a classic black suit, were then whisked away by friend and wedding photographer Sam Venn. Nearby, guests drank and mingled at Middle Habour 16ft Skiff Club.

Then it was onto Zest Boathouse at The Spit for the party to begin.

“Zest at The Spit was the perfect venue for us. It was close to home and on the water with beautiful views. The staff were professional, proactive and approachable. Zest had great reviews online which was reassuring and gave us confidence that the day would run smoothly. The food was amazing! We loved the rustic feel created by the use of wood and stone and the flexibility that the venue offered in all aspects of our wedding. They were very accommodating.

To us, the most important thing about choosing where to have our wedding reception was the vibe of the venue – the physical aspects of the venue and what it looked like as well as the staff. Zest were extremely professional and have a tonne of experience which made organising the wedding so easy – even during COVID!

The food was amazing and is something Zest are known for. Many of our guests have commented on how great the food was. They accommodated all dietary requirements and have a vast range of options.

We would have our wedding day again exactly the same, it was the most amazing day.”
