All white on the night: Crystal and Ron’s Sheraton Mirage wedding

Crystal Doohan and Ron Saciri brought winter magic to the sunny Gold Coast in their gorgeous Sheraton Mirage wedding.

The Gold Coast pair, who met more than a decade ago, went for an all-white theme to their winter wonderland wedding at the Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa.

“It definitely wasn’t love at first sight,” laughs Crystal, 26 whose first impression of Ron, also 26, was of a loud skater boy. Nevertheless, a friendship developed, and luckily for Ron, Crystal’s feelings changed because according to him “she makes the BEST toasted sandwiches!”

The lovebirds wed in an emotionally-charged ceremony on July 4, 2015 in front of 50 guests. Young daughter Sailor starred as one of the flower girls. “She danced down the aisle with her cousin,” recalls the bride and proud mum.

Celebrations continued at the same venue with elegant white decor, courtesy of Beautiful Weddings.

“Our wedding day was all-white elegance and it was better than my dreams,” Crystal says.

“The celebrant said I was one of the most emotional [brides] she had ever seen,” recalls Crystal. “It was a big release of stress and emotion.”

The outdoor ceremony made the most of the beautiful surrounds at Sheraton Mirage.
