Nikita and Alex’s turn in the wedding bubble has led them to win our September Wedding of the Year competition.

The Queensland couple, who’d been to several weddings before it was finally their time, were keen to give their 200 guests a unique experience. The newly refurbished Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, with its modern industrial fit-out ticked this very box.
“It allowed us to cater for our wedding size and gave us the flexibility to customise the wedding to suit or style, while also giving us something different,” says Nikita.
Nikita and Alex’s ‘I dos’ were exchanged under the venue’s fig tree outside, and their reception was “a compilation of good food, speeches that made you laugh and speeches that made you cry, lots of dancing and a lot of love,” says Nikita.
