For some love stories, it unfolds slowly, over years, sharing memories and growing up together. Side by side, Rebecca and Sedat spent the last 13 years, with their relationship dating all the way back to high school. Introduced by mutual friends, the couple’s relationship grew, with the crescendo their wedding at Olivehouse Greendale Grove in November 2025.

Their engagement happened in May 2023, during a day trip to Marysville. It was quiet, intimate, and perfectly them. For the engagement celebration, the couple chose a long weekend in November, which went on to shape their wedding date. Two years later, on the same long weekend, their beautiful wedding was held. A full-circle moment that reflects Rebecca’s thoughtful intention and how these two are meaningful when planning their life together.

The venue that set the tone

From the start of their planning, Rebecca and Sedat knew what they wanted: a wedding that felt modern, romantic,  and minimal. An effortless garden-party atmosphere and a strong focus on guest experience were top of their list when looking for a venue. Olivehouse Greendale Grove delivered exactly that, and more.Set across 50 breathtaking acres in Kialla, Olivehouse is one of Victoria’s most iconic Mediterranean-inspired wedding venues. Surrounded by more than 3,000 olive trees, the property offers couples an immersive experience that feels transportive, serene and undeniably elegant.

For Rebecca and Sedat, the venue’s natural beauty became the hero. Lush gardens, manicured lawns and sweeping olive groves framed every moment of the day, creating a setting so stunning it needed little embellishment. Whites and soft greens complemented the landscape, allowing the environment to speak for itself.

“The whole day felt intentional but relaxed,” Rebecca says. “Olivehouse gave us that outdoor garden-party feel while still feeling elevated and polished.”

A celebration of culture and style

Rebecca and Sedat’s wedding was a fun and beautiful mix of culture: Australia and Turkey. Woven together seamlessly, the celebration saw the different cultures come through in music, food, and atmosphere.

Rebecca curated the details with precision, leaning into clean lines, minimal styling and modern romance with a subtle Vogue-inspired edge. Sedat brought the fun, keeping the energy high and the dance floor full well into the night.

The exclusive-hire nature of Olivehouse meant guests were free to roam the entire property, from the iconic white arbour ceremony location to the reception spaces overlooking the gardens.

As the sun dipped behind the olive trees, festoon lights flickered on, transforming the grove into a glowing, Mediterranean dream.

Thoughtful food and hospitality

True to Olivehouse’s reputation, the food was a standout. Guests were welcomed with canapés during cocktail hour before sitting down to a generous, crowd-pleasing menu.

Entrées included a trio of arancini with tomato ragout, creamed spinach and shaved parmesan, alongside Japanese chicken karaage with wombok. Mains were followed by grilled prime beef served with whipped herbed potatoes and béarnaise, and chicken breast with olives, semi-dried tomatoes, and white wine sauce. Dessert was a relaxed pairing of wedding cake and fresh fruit platters: the perfect finish to a warm spring celebration.

Behind the scenes, Olivehouse’s family-owned team ensured everything ran seamlessly. With an on-site coordinator, premium menus created by head chef Rob Crifo, and an unwavering attention to detail, Rebecca and Sedat were able to fully immerse themselves in the day.

Dressed to the nines

Rebecca wore a gown by Raffaele Ciuca Bridal, pairing modern elegance with romantic softness. Her veil and alterations were completed by Michelle’s Bridal, while makeup by Evelin and hair by Hair Central Shepparton completed the look.

Sedat and his groomsmen wore suits from local menswear store Identity Menswear, keeping the styling classic and sharp, perfectly complementing the refined garden setting.

No regrets

When asked if there’s anything she would change, Rebecca’s answer is simple: nothing.

“The day was perfect, even better than I imagined.”

And that’s the magic of a venue like Olivehouse Greendale Grove. It doesn’t just host weddings; it elevates them. With breathtaking natural surrounds, exceptional food, exclusive access and a team that genuinely cares, it creates an experience that feels both luxurious and deeply personal.

For Rebecca and Sedat, it was the perfect backdrop for a love story years in the making. A modern garden romance filled with heart, energy and unforgettable moments.

The day was perfect, everything turned out better than I even imagined.
