Nicole and Dee wanted their wedding to feel unique – good food, great music and a relaxed vibe.
“And we nailed it,” bride Nicole, 27, says with a laugh.
Nicole and Dee, 30, say their Perth garden wedding was hands-on to plan and style themselves, but the result was well worth it.
“We wanted our wedding to feel like it was uniquely ours,” Nicole says.
“We wanted it to be relaxed but still feel like a wedding and we pictured this outdoor garden wedding with great music, nice lighting, lots of food and drinks and just a pretty and fun feel.”
The March 4, 2018 celebrations on a private property with 100 guests more than lived up to expectations.
“It was beautiful, relaxed, romantic, fun and full of yum food and drinks,” Nicole says of the backyard celebrations.
“Our vendors were amazing and we were so relaxed and in love with each other. We put so much effort into the big day and we absolutely loved it.”

The team at Alana Winter-Smith Makeup Artistry had the bridal party looking their best.
DIY touches helped create the relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere the couple was after.
The couple first met in 2013 and their first date was a picnic on the beach. Three years later Dee proposed on the beach following a romantic seafood lunch. “Exactly a year later from the proposal we got married,” Nicole says.
“We were so happy with all of our vendors, and the venue – which was a private property – was absolutely stunning,” Nicole says.
Of photographer Kevin McGinn the couple praises: “He is absolutely amazing at what he does! Check him out.”
The couple says they loved every second of their backyard wedding. “So many of our guests have contacted us to say it was the best wedding they’ve been to.”
