The gorgeous Tweed hinterland provided the perfect backdrop to Louise Elford and Matt Dews’ romantic outdoor wedding.
Now based in Brisbane, Louise, 31, took Matt, 30, back to her home region of Tweed Heads for their relaxed but elegant celebrations.
Six years after the pair began dating, they wed at Summergrove Estate on April 25, 2015 in front of 130 family and friends.
“The day was magical with stunning views of the Tweed Valley as the backdrop to the celebrations, beautiful music and lawn games for our guests to play,” Louise says.
“Being the centenary of Anzac Day, we wanted to acknowledge those who fought for our country, so our bombonieres were handmade seed packets containing Flanders field red poppies for our guests.”

Louise’s bouquet featured her grandmother’s brooch which had been worn by her mother and all her aunts on their wedding days. Also attached was a photo of her late grandparents on their wedding day.
“I love Louise’s cheeky nature, and that smile and look in her eyes when she is working her way around getting something,” Matt says.
