Linda and Louis create festival vibe at relaxed bohemian wedding

Congrats to this couple who have won a place in our 2019 Wedding of the Year comp! They are in the running to win a luxury second honeymoon at Heritance Aarah Maldives.

Linda and Louis brought all the fun of a festival to their bohemian wedding near Perth.

“Our focus was on the little details,” Linda says of the February 24, 2019 wedding.

Baldivis Farm Stay hosted the laid-back celebration, with guests travelling from across the world to see British expat Louis and his Aussie bride make it down the aisle.

“Our planning priorities were that our family and loved ones could be there with us - a celebration for two joining families from across the globe. We wanted a day of love laughter and happiness,” Linda says.

The outdoor ceremony made the most of the summer sunshine, with a rustic wedding arch, timber chairs and dramatic floral displays adding to the bohemian theme.

The couple created a mini-festival feel at the reception thanks to more unique floral arrangements, hay bale seating, festoon lights and, of course, food trucks.

“It was all we dreamed of - a day of love bursting from our families and friends,” Linda says.

“It was a true representation of us - each marrying our best friend.”

The team at Gamine Dynasty had beautiful bride Linda looking her best for the big day.

The couple sourced their timeless rings from Michael Hill.

Linda says that it was the personal touches that meant the most. "Having our dog be part of our day, a card game mid-ceremony to pick the witnesses, extraordinary florals and an outside mini-festival with food trucks as the sun went down," she says.
