Lighting the night sky: Eugenia and Steve’s Bali wedding

Eugenia Averina and Steven James fell “truly, madly, deeply” in love after meeting through mutual friends.

Consequently, it was this famous Savage Garden song the bride walked down the aisle to. The couple were married at Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali on July 4, 2015. “The ceremony was held in the luxurious grounds of the Ayana Villa at the gazebo overlooking the Pacific Ocean,” says Eugenia, 29. She first fell in love with 36-year-old Steven because “he looked very smart and he is very confident.”

Forty guests made the journey for the Bali wedding which had it all, according to this satisfied bride. “My special day combined all the magic of a tropical celebration with luxury and style consisting of dove release, picturesque photoshoot, amazing live band, great food and spectacular fireworks to finish off the night,” smiles Eugenia.

And although the couple had already been treated to this epic destination wedding in the tropics, they headed to Russia, Italy, France and Dubai for their honeymoon.

Eugenia’s advice to other brides-to-be is: “Take in every single moment of the day with your husband because it goes way too fast.”

Guests were invited to the epic Bali wedding with invitations from Papermac, which Eugenia says represented the theme perfectly.
