These two were so keen to get hitched they skipped their engagement party so they could put more effort into the wedding.
Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Ward, 25, and Curtis Wickham, 26, of Brisbane chose to marry at Holy Spirit Church, New Farm, followed by a reception at The Landing at Dockside. “We decided against an engagement party to allow us to spend a little extra on the wedding itself,” smiles Lizzie.
Their classic wedding boasted simple styling, with the focus on the guests having a good time. “Our main goal was to ensure that our guests had a night to remember with great company, great food and great service,” explains Lizzie.
She is passing on her wisdom to brides-to-be by saying you can’t please everyone. “Remember that everyone is going to have different opinions and you can’t keep everyone involved happy all the time.”
The couple headed to Bali for their honeymoon. “The entire day was perfect and everything we hoped for,” smiles the bride.
