The couple welcomed 33 of their closest family and friends for an intimate barefoot ceremony on the sand at North Beach. Setting a lighthearted tone from the very start, the bridal party walked down the aisle to a live instrumental rendition of My Chemical Romance’s Welcome To The Black Parade, played by a local keyboardist and singer. Kali then stepped onto the sand alongside her father to Chantal Kreviazuk’s Feels Like Home.
A major highlight of Kali and Lachlan’s day was their embrace of playfulness and pop culture musical touches. Rather than sticking strictly to traditional acoustics, they curated a soundtrack that felt genuinely like them, concluding the ceremony with a lively exit to Smash Mouth’s I’m A Believer.
Beauty prep for the day was handled seamlessly by Glo Bridal, ensuring the bridal party looked fresh and effortless in the tropical climate. Photographer Gusmank captured every candid moment, from emotional vow exchanges to relaxed sunset portraits along the coastline.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to Jajan By The Sea Garden for an outdoor reception under the palm trees. An international BBQ buffet catered to everyone, while DJ Wayne took over the evening entertainment, keeping the dance floor active late into the night.
