High school sweethearts Maddy and Mitchell celebrate bohemian waterview wedding

It took teenage Mitch a few tries to strike up a conservation with Maddy back in high school but it wasn’t until Maddy showed up at his house party that as they say, the rest is history.

“It was Christmas holidays so we hung out every single day and night and just after New Year’s Mitch asked me to be his girlfriend,” recalls Maddy with a smile.

“What started as a beautiful friendship soon turned into a wonderful romance and we have been inseparable ever since, smashing out life goals together.”

While holidaying in New Zealand, Mitch got down on one knee and proposed at the top of a hill overlooking the City.

Maddy and Mitch tied the knot in a bohemian waterview wedding on Hamilton Island on December 4, 2019.

“Dreams really do come true because I married the man of my dreams at my ultimate dream wedding location,” smiles the bride.

“I could not have asked for a more perfect day.”

The high school sweethearts were wedded by the warm and friendly Kylie McIntosh Wedding Celebrant.

Maddy and Mitch said their ‘I Do’s’ with rings from Michael Hill Jeweller.

Maddy has been going to the Hamilton Island with her family since she was eight and she told her parents from a young age that she wanted to get married there!
