Rustic with a hint of sparkle: Jen and Cam’s Helen’s Hill Winery wedding

A dress change is becoming popular for modern brides, but Jen opted for a shoe change when she married her sweetheart, Cam, at Helen’s Hill Winery. Between midnight-blue velvet heels and glittery silver cowboy boots, all bases were covered!

The couple chose Helen’s Hill Winery for their rustic yet romantic celebration on April 24, 2022. With 120 guests in attendance, Jen and Cam exchanged  vows in the manicured country gardens of Ridgefield Estate.

“If we had to pick one vendor to recommend to other couples, it would have to be Alex Colcheedas from Colcheedas Photography,” says Jen. “He made the day run smoothly, and he was just amazing!”

Alex photographed the couple as they went about their wedding preparations at seperate accommodations, before travelling to  Ridgefield Estate for a heartfelt and intimate wedding ceremony.

“Jen and Cam’s wedding was full to the brim with laughter, fun, love and boogieing,” remembers Alex. “They were such a delight to work with and we got on like a house on fire. T hey were after candid, relaxed and natural photos which suited me to a T. I felt like I was more than just the photographer, rather an actual guest, which I absolutely loved.”

After capturing stunning wedding portraiture in the surrounding rural landscape of Coldstream, Jen and Cam joined their excited guests for a long table reception at Ridgefield Estate. The tables were dressed in burgundy, white, and sage green florals, with matching wildflower accents on the seating chart.

The Barrel Room of Helen’s Hill Winery made for the perfect space for a delicious feast, speeches, and, of course, lots of dancing to put Jen’s sparkly cowboy boots to good use. When asked what they would change about their wedding if they could do it over, Jen and Cam couldn’t think of a single thing; talk about a perfect day!

“From the very beginning, we knew we wanted a  beautiful winery wedding with as many local vendors as possible. We wanted our wedding to really bring our families together in a fun and relaxed way, so that everyone could have a great time!”
