Debbie and John’s seaside destination wedding at The Samaya Seminyak

When planning a Bali destination wedding, many couples we see choose to focus on creating a relaxed, intimate celebration that highlights the island’s natural coastline. Debbie and John achieved that balance effortlessly, bringing together 34 of their closest family and friends along the oceanfront lawn at The Samaya Seminyak. 

The couple spent the morning preparing at the resort before gathering guests on the lawn for an afternoon ceremony. The atmosphere was set by the soft, traditional melodies of a live Balinese Rindik musician as guests arrived, surrounded by a fresh white and green floral palette styled to complement the palm-fringed backdrop.

Debbie walked down the aisle to Auburn’s “Perfect Two”. Celebrant Bapak Eddy led a grounded and personal commitment ceremony, featuring custom-written vows and acoustic music playing as the couple signed their certificate.

As twilight set in over Seminyak, the party transitioned directly to an alfresco lawn reception. Guests enjoyed a full BBQ buffet, an open bar, and speeches led by Scott, the best man, as MC. A three-tier cake from Cake it On Bali anchored the dessert spread, while cold sparks and a private fireworks display lit up the night sky as the dance floor opened.

Pulling off a seamless destination wedding across borders takes meticulous coordination. Reflecting on their experience with Easy Weddings, Debbie shared:

From the tailored logistics managed by Huguette, Magdalena, and the on-ground team to the final firework burst over the ocean, Debbie and John’s wedding was a masterclass in relaxed tropical luxury.
