Danielle and Daniel’s Stones of the Yarra Valley celebration
Childhood acquaintances Daniel and Danielle are the definition of the ‘invisible string theory’. Something higher brought them back together in their 20s. Their love story came full circle when on a quiet street overlooking Lake Como, Daniel asked the question. The proposal caught Danielle completely by surprise in a simple, heartfelt, and unforgettable moment.
Stones of the Yarra Valley was the clear choice when choosing their wedding venue. Set among rolling vineyards and historic buildings, the property offered an elegant yet relaxed setting. The perfect backdrop for a day they wanted to feel timeless and full of joy.
In Alanis Morissette fashion, the wedding morning began with rain. However, this is often a symbol of luck and prosperity, which started almost immediately as by mid-morning the clouds parted. The Yarra Valley lit up, with ideal lighting for getting ready and the photography by Chamore Creations to begin.
The bride spent her morning with her closest friends and family in Stones of the Yarra’s beautiful Day Room. A bright, serene space, the room lent itself not only to looking incredible in photos but also created an intimate and calm atmosphere for her to relax before an afternoon and evening of festivities.
The wedding day went off without a hitch, thanks in part to the relaxed couple, complemented by seasoned expert wedding planner Easy Weddings’ Darcy Allen and the remarkable team at Stones. The seamless day was lifted even more with the staff’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail, creating a relaxed, high-energy celebration. The couple and the guests could simply sit back and enjoy the moment whilst the behind-the-scenes staff handled every detail.
“From start to finish, the day ran so smoothly, all of our vendors, especially our incredible wedding planner Darcy, made sure that everything was under control and organised,” the couple gushes about those who helped bring their wedding to life.
The bridal party looked effortlessly stylish from aisle to dance floor. The bridesmaids wore chic, contemporary gowns by Bec and Bridge, their sleek silhouettes and modern hues perfectly complementing the day’s elegant aesthetic. The groomsmen, dressed by Black Tie Classics, exuded timeless sophistication in tailored suits that balanced formality with a relaxed, celebratory feel; the perfect match for the venue’s refined yet romantic atmosphere. Together, the coordinated looks created a seamless visual harmony that elevated every photograph.
One of the most important parts of Daniel and Danielle’s wedding was the sprinkling of their own personalities and stories they brought in. Most notably (and perhaps the cutest!) was the framed drawings from Danielle’s Year One class. The couple also shared a gelato before the dancefloor came to life with other guests enjoying the Italian dessert.
For weddding decorations, table floral arrangements that complemented the bride’s bouquet brought sweet pops of colour to the already stunning venue. The cake, a beautiful giant white piece decorated with intricate piping and an abundance of fresh raspberries adorning the top.
The music, curated by Hey Jack, hit every note the couple had dreamed of — the DJ and saxophone combination kept the energy high and the dancefloor full.
Stones of the Yarra Valley delivered not only as a venue but as a complete experience, the kind that lingers in your heart long after the last song is played. For Danielle and Daniel, the wedding day was everything they had ever dreamed of and more. If the couple could, they’d relive it a thousand times over.
