Although Caity and Paul originally planned to tie the knot in Canberra on March 2020, a sudden bout of illness in the family saw plans unravel.
“Unfortunately my father-in-law fell very ill in January 2019 and we decided to move our Canberra wedding up to April 21, 2019, in the Barossa Valley where Paul’s parent’s live,” explains the bride.
The couple kicked into gear and planned their rustic wedding in just ten weeks — and from interstate!
“Our ten-week wedding planning allowed us to choose what was really important to us and resulted in a day that was totally Paul and I. We stumbled across the most amazing suppliers, and friends and family bent over backwards to be there,” says Caity. “We could not have asked for a more blissful and loving experience surrounded by our loved ones.”
The couple, aged 28 and 31, tied the knot at a ceremony led by marriage celebrant, Michael Anderson, at Old Union Chapel before celebrating into the night at Wanera Wine Bar in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.

Even the couple’s dog, Walter, was invited!
Caity’s bridesmaids wore elegant evening gowns purchased from Esther & Co.
Caity first met Paul at work. “I instantly knew there was a spark and something special. Fast forward 18 months and we started our journey as a couple with a whirlwind of moving interstate, getting our beautiful puppy, Walter, and planning a wedding.”
