Operations Assistant and runner-up Employee of the Year 2018
I came to Easy Weddings become someone took a chance on me when I was looking to get out of hospitality. I’d studied diplomas in both Event Management and Business Management so I wanted to make sure that whatever I was doing was still relevant to events. The job fell in my lap and the rest is history!
I love that there is always an opportunity to learn here. There’s always something new going on, a new project to get involved in, or just something exciting happening around the business. It’s good to know that it doesn’t matter where you fit into the business, if you’re willing to work for it and put yourself out there you can get involved.
Like anyone, I try to switch off after work to get that balance right. My partner and I have been together for 6 years and we have a furbaby so we spend a lot of ‘family time’ together. We also spend a lot of family time with my twin niece and nephew.
For me, it’s important not to bring work back home, and also not to bring home to work. If I’m having a bad day I just put my headphones on and work as productively as possible. The best part is that’s ok here!
I love what Easy Weddings has done for my career so far. And the birthday doughnuts!

Favourite Movie – too many to choose from
Favourite Holiday Destination – Nashville, USA. Then Vegas. And NYC. I could go back to each of those places 100 times and never get sick of them (I’ve been twice to each so far)
Favourite activity at EW – Christmas party day is my favourite day of the year!
