We shoot everything in 16:9 landscape and present the final product in 1:2.35 landscape, which is a cinematic widescreen format. Although our final product is best viewed on your big TV at home, the social media platforms will slightly crop your videos but will still present well. It will only be the "reels" that will require a vertical format which will crop it to not present well, but we can edit a vertical aspect reel on request!
Absolutely! 99% of wedding filmmakers will shoot weddings in a horizontal aspect ratio unless you specifically request otherwise. Although it's not ideal, we can put together vertical content suited for social media (so long as your team shoots in a high enough resolution). Generally, you should expect your wedding film, teaser and highlight film to be delivered in a horizontal/landscape orientation, but if you are also wanting vertical content, I'm sure most video teams will be happy to do that :)
Hope this helps!
The majority of footage will be shot in landscape; therefore, the video edits will be presented in landscape. However, if a client wishes for a vertical/portrait edit for social media, that option is available with cropping techniques.
Hey! Yes, we definitely can create landscape versions of your wedding film thats perfect for sharing online.
Just wondering are you planning to post it on YouTube, Facebook, or maybe even a wedding website? Or are you more after short clips for Instagram Reels or stories too?
Lately, we’ve been creating postcard-style teasers and videos for couples — short, cinematic moments that work beautifully across social platforms. Like this: https://www.instagram.com/p/DBp0JAwTfhQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Keen to know what you’re thinking!
Send us a message with what you’ve got in mind, we’d love to chat and create something that truly reflects you.
Heyy! Yes it will be shot widescreen for both version.
Tnx

Yes, absolutely. Your wedding film is shot and delivered in landscape by default, because that wide frame is what suits a couple sharing the day on YouTube, a TV at home, or a wedding website. So the main highlight film and feature edit will already be landscape and ready to post on Facebook or send around to family.
The thing worth knowing is that the social platforms each crop differently. A landscape film sits beautifully in a Facebook or Instagram feed post, but Reels, TikTok and Stories all want vertical, and a straight crop of a wide shot can chop heads off or lose the moment. That is why we plan for it on the day, framing certain key moments with a little extra room so a vertical cut still looks intentional rather than squeezed.
What we usually do is deliver your full film in landscape and then cut a separate vertical teaser or two specifically for Reels and Stories, so each version actually looks made for where it is going. Everything is edited in-house by us, so if you decide closer to the day that you want an extra social cut, it is an easy ask, not something we have to send away.
If you let us know early which platforms matter most to you, we will keep that in mind while filming so nothing important falls outside the frame.
