How long does it take to get your wedding video back?
Wondering how long it usually takes to get the final wedding video back? We are going on our honeymoon for a month straight after our wedding. What decisions do we need to factor in? We're planning to have a viewing party with some loved ones who can't be there on the day.

I completely understand the importance of having your wedding video in a timely manner. Our standard turnaround time is about 3 to 4 weeks, but I do offer a 24 hrs delivery service for an additional fee if you need it sooner. In terms of your honeymoon plans, we can work with you to ensure that you have your video while you are on your honeymoon. And for your viewing party, I offer digital delivery so you can share the video with your loved ones anytime, anywhere.

Most of our clients receive both long version and highlights video within about a month. Industry standard is between 6-12 weeks depending on the season. We are usually much faster.
Hi there! Great question :) Our turn around typically takes 2 months to receive the whole package of Highlight video + Full-length documentary. We are however, happy to accomodate to requests depending on the season. We digitally upload a copy of the final assets which you can download for easy viewing with your loved ones!
Hi, we advise our couples that our standard turnaround for video is 8-12 weeks. However we usually provide a quicker turnaround during non-peak times. I would suggest just letting your chosen videographer know about your honeymoon travel arrangements and organise any requirements needed ahead of time.

On paper, it is a 90 day turnaround to allow us adequate time to shoot other weddings and edit other wedding films.
However, it is a rarer request to have someone need it by a specific time so as a gesture of good will, I can prioritise your film/s

Honestly, it'll depend on the videographer and the package/service you've selected with them; since everyone has their own workflow and method.
Using our service as an example, when a couple selects just our Highlight Film (4 - 6 Minutes), our delivery can roughly be somewhere in between one to two weeks.
But of course, we do offer other services such as providing couples with a Ceremony Film, Reception Cuts, etc (as an Add-On), which would then increase the delivery timeframe.
Additionally, it'll depend on the videographer's schedule as well and how the videographer will deliver your film/s.
Overall, this is usually something that should be discussed with the videographer that you've selected.
If there is already an agreement with the delivery timeframe, I suggest that you should ask them if they can make an exception or make a request to have everything finalised before a certain date and such.

Turnaround really does vary supplier to supplier, so the honest answer is to ask whoever you book for their actual current timeframe in writing. For us, the bigger thing for your situation is that a month-long honeymoon doesn't have to slow anything down. Everything we shoot is edited in-house by our own team here in South East Queensland, never sent offshore or outsourced, and we deliver your films through a private online gallery. That means even if your final film lands while you're still away, you can watch it from anywhere with wifi, no waiting until you're home.
The detail worth factoring in is the viewing party. If you want to play something for the loved ones who couldn't make the day, decide now whether that party is happening before or after the honeymoon, and tell your videographer that date. A short highlights film is the piece most couples want for a viewing party, and a good shooter can often prioritise that to hit a set date if they know about it well ahead of time. The full feature film and full ceremony edit usually follow a little later.
One small tip from years of doing this: peak wedding season in Queensland runs heaviest through spring and autumn, so films booked in those busy months can sit in a longer queue than ones shot in the quieter parts of the year. If your viewing party is locked to a specific date, mention it the moment you book rather than after the wedding, and ask your videographer to confirm the highlights will be ready in time. Get that agreed early and you can head off on your honeymoon without a single thing to chase.
