If the contract price is locked in or could change, as well as payment options. And considering the weather lately, what the wet weather plan is!

It is super important that you ask the right questions when viewing a venue. These may include:

  • What standard inclusions come with the venue, e.g lighting, furniture
  • Is there a difference in pricing depending on the time of year, day of the week?
  • Do you have a preferred caterer or is there flexibility on this?
  • What is the venue capacity for both a  standing and seated wedding?
  • What time must the wedding end?

We find the most important questions our couples ask at a site visit are:

  • Capacity
  • Different location options for ceremony & reception
  • Catering & set up details with bump-in times
  • Distance from accomodation to ceremony & reception locations
  • Lastly, ensure you're happy with the venue's wet weather option

I would say it depends on exactly what matters most to you & your partner for your day.

Do you require a venue with an early bump-in included? Then make sure to ask about your bump-in options!

If you have an idea of your maximum & minimum guest amount, we recommend asking about options to increase or decrease numbers closer to your dream date.

Are flexible menu options an important factor to you? Make sure to ask your venue manager/coordinator about their catering options :)
