What are some fun ideas for cocktail hour?

We're hosting our ceremony and reception at one venue and would love some ideas to make our cocktail hour fun and unique. We're planning to head off for photos after the ceremony and would like guests to be entertained during that time!

We have had couples organise some fun giant outdoor games, a magician, a gelato cart if its a summer wedding, keeping their live acoustic singer/s for an extra hour to entertain the guests while they enjoy a drink and some yummy canapes is also a nice touch. Hope this helps!

We love unique ideas, and so do guests! Creating a fun, inviting atmosphere to compliment your wedding is essential. So think about what that feeling is you want to evoke...

Some ideas are:
Photobooth Set-Up
Live Musicians
Magicians/Comedians
Lawn Games
Ice-Cream/Gelato Cart
Woodfired Pizza Oven

and so much more!

There really are so many wonderful options - but be sure to check with your venue so they can let you know if these are logistically possible.
Hopefully that helps!

We offer to take guests out on Army Ducks through the rainforest while the bride and groom are getting photos done and then deliver the guests directly to the reception once the tour is completed.  Its a fun idea and guests love it.  Not many can say they arrived to a wedding reception by Army Duck amphibious vehicle.

At Cherbon Waters many couples organize lawn games for our vast lawn area, these are a very popular addition at this time
