Pricing is often cheaper on a Thursday or Sunday. Great to consider supplier availability.

We cater many week day functions and weddings.  We find that they are very successful and guests are happy to take time off work for the day or atleast half days.  I do suggest to have the ceremony a little later in the afternoon to assist your guests that are unable to take the full day off work.

There should be no difference 

Your wedding would be, in terms of the event, pretty much the same whether is on a weekday than a weekend, however, two key factors that you should consider are costs, some venues offer cheaper rates for events on a weekday; but perhaps I would consider the availability of your desireed attendees, a weekend wedding would give most of your invitees the oportunity to enjoy your special day and having a day to recover, this can be even more important when considering interestate or overseas guests.

There aren't too many differences to consider when hosting a weekday wedding. One thing that is important is to note a difference in traffic when planning your day. School times, and work times will be more difficult to navigate through the week, epsecially for the typical mid afternoon ceremony (3pm).
