I'm considering a midweek or friday/sunday wedding... Should I?

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you and your partner prefer because the day is all about you! We tend to have most weddings on a Saturday, however there’s been a few on a Friday or Sunday night. The best part of holding your wedding midweek would be that some venues will be cheaper for you. Also venues are typically more available midweek depending on whether they also hold corporate events.

Mid week weddings are very popular and a great way to save money. Fridays are almost no different to Saturday weddings but most of the people wont mind attending a wedding during the week either. It is a special day for you and we are sure closest friends and family will want to spend the day with you whether it was a Wednesday or a Saturday. Warm regards, the Boulevard Team

At The Brighton Savoy we can host your ceremony and/or your wedding reception ANY day of the week.

In our beautiful Seaview Room which overlooks the water, sipping champagne and enjoying our wonderful savouries selection whilst watching a beautiful sunset it really doesn't matter WHAT day of the week it is!  Although, our reduced midweek prices might just entice you to consider having your midweek wedding!

Our Wedding Reception dinner package consists of a sit down three course meal which includes beverages from our De Bortoli Willowglen range.

We provide you with a Hostess to overview your function and act as a Master of Ceremonies if required.  An elevated and decorated bridal table, guest table centerpieces and a central floral arrangement on the bridal table.   We also include a Honeymoon Suite which includes a Deluxe Bay View Suite with Breakfast for two and a complimentary bottle of bubbles for you to enjoy!

Our venue is open for viewing every Saturday & Sunday between 12noon – 5.00pm, no appointment necessary as there is always one of our wedding team on hand to meet and get to know you better & answer any questions you may have.

 Congratulations on your engagement,

Definitely!

It comes down to what you and your partner prefer because the day is all about you two!

A mid-week wedding tends to be smaller and more intimate and it could also be an excuse for your friends and family to take a day off.

Sunday’s are perfect for outdoors, brunch style weeding.

At our property we don’t charge different base on the days of the week.

Hope that helps!

If you give your guests enough notice, midweek is a great idea. Accomodation and venue hire is typically cheaper (and dates are more available).

YES!! Your WEdding is about you! Do what you would like!

Enjoy the whole weekend for your WEdding by having your Wedding on a Friday and plan things to do the same weekend with your new partner (and or family) or do the same by selecting a Sunday Wedding. Map out pre-Wedding weekend celebrations and enjoy the big day on the Sunday.

When it comes down to it, do what you would like to do. Whatever suits, you and your work, families, kids, holdiays, whatever, your Wedding should be based on what you want.

Absolutely - Its 2017 and anything goes so why not make it memorable ?

We have had a genuine increase in peak season of mid week and Sunday lunch receptions - You can enjoy reduced minimum spends - better spring summer flowers - nicer weather and who's friends are really not willing to take a day off ??

Absolutley!

Saving money is all about being creative. A mid-week wedding is not only an excuse for your friends and family to take a day off work, but a great way to lower your costs as most venues hire fee's are lower on off peak days.

If you are considering a destination wedding where the majority of your guests are traveling to attend anyways, it won't matter what day of the week the festivities begin, accommodation prices will be cheaper and your preferred suppliers will have more availability and possibly mid-week specials as well.

At SKYCITY we offer discounted room hire for mid week weddings with prices upon application depending on the season and have certainly seen an upward trend in weddings being booked during the week.

Hope that helps!

Mid week and Friday weddings usually come with great venue discounts. The only downside to a midweek wedding is hopefully all guests will be able to take time off work. However the same can be said for weekend weddings.
