OVERVIEW

Nestled in the historic mining village of Kembla Heights, Ruby's Mount Kembla first traded as the village store and Post Office to a thriving community of coal miners and their families in the late 1800's.

Named after Ruby Moore - a famous local resident and Post Mistress during the 1920's and 1930's, the store has undergone much careful restoration and is now home to one of the most well loved restaurants in the Illawarra.

Ruby's Mount Kembla is a Fine Dining Restaurant and also a Wedding and Function Centre. Whether it be a special dinner or event, Ruby's Mount Kembla can cater for all occasions.

Intimate Weddings for up to 50 Guests can be held in our Restaurant. For 50 to 120 Guests, our beautiful silk-lined marquee is available.

The unique location of Ruby's Mount Kembla, its award winning food and excellent service will make your special event or wedding a day to remember!

The venue is stunning, we had both the ceremony and reception in the marquee/ outdoor area, and it was magical like a fairy tale. Easy to communicate with prior to the wedding and allowing us set-up time prior was great. The food was amazing, and my guests complimented both the mains and desserts ordered. All in all, a great night.

Ruby's Mount Kembla was everything I had hoped for in a Wedding venue - we had both our ceremony and reception there. The location and setting is just stunning, they were so adaptive to the changes we had to make due to the rain, the food service was excellent and the actual food was delicious and so high quality. Not to mention there are so many inclusions which makes the wedding planning process a lot easier. Thank you to the team for making it an absolute dream day, I would recommend Ruby's to anyone!

Ruby's was the perfect place for our wedding. The South Coast has so many options for weddings but the intimate and semi isolated vibe of Ruby's was perfect for us. Everything all done on sight and we're still hearing from guests how amazing the food was. Scott & Rachel were so easy to work with and worked with our coordinator, the staff on the day were so professional.
