FAQ
Absolutely — this is the signature Melba’s moment. Say your vows overlooking Sydney Harbour with the Opera House in the background. It’s like a movie scene, but starring you two.
No need for panic spirals — the team can set up a chic, clear all-weather marquee so your ceremony stays stunning, rain or shine (and your hair does too).
450 standing, 65 seated! Plenty of people to enjoy your special day with you. The Rooftop is spacious and designed for modern, open-air celebrations. Whether it’s an intimate crew or a full-blown party, the space transforms to fit your style.
Totally. The space already looks incredible thanks to the harbour views, but you can add floral moments, an arbour, candles — whatever matches your vibe. We have recomended suplliers too who can make everything seamless.

Melba's Rooftop
Yes — staying near Melba’s Rooftop the night before is a total game-changer. You wake up stress-free, soak in the views, and have plenty of time to get ready without worrying about traffic or logistics. Plus, it makes for a relaxed, luxe start to your wedding day.
Can venues charge both a Price Per Head and a minimum F&B spend?
I thought venues would have a minimum spend baked into the cost of the PP because most packages do include a 4-5 hr drink service and also food? So why charge both
Melba's Rooftop
Yep, some venues charge both a per-head price and a minimum spend, and here’s the deal:
So if you’re only 50 people, your PPH might be $5K, but the venue’s minimum could be $12K — that’s just to make sure the space is worth opening for the night. Bigger weddings usually hit the minimum automatically, so you’re basically just paying the PPH.
Think of it as a safety net for the venue, while still letting you customise your dream day.
