What is the wedding venue capacity?

The Gallery is a contemporary venue accommodating up to 120 guests seated on rounds, or 110 guests with a dance floor. Featuring commissioned Australian artworks, The Gallery offers the flexibility of dividing into three intimate event spaces, or one large sophisticated venue.

The Guest House offers uninterrupted views of the Opera House & presents a unique venue for up to 70 guests seated on rounds. Celebrate your wedding surrounded by The Guest House’s exclusive presentation kitchen, coupled with a private outdoor terrace on Sydney’s Harbour front.

Alternatively, The Study provides an ideal private option for up to 20 with its intimate boardroom style design. The Study showcases fine wines from around the world with its feature floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar wall, and also offers direct, spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House.

Do you offer cocktail wedding receptions?

We would be delighted to discuss your cocktail wedding requirements and place a customised proposal together for your consideration. Please contact the events team at Park Hyatt Sydney for your custom proposal.

Can you accommodate an intimate wedding reception for fewer than 20 guests?

We would be delighted to assist with an intimate wedding reception. The Study provides an ideal private option for up to 20 with its intimate boardroom style design. The Study showcases fine wines from around the world with its feature floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar wall, and also offers direct, spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House.

I have booked an outdoor ceremony. What if it rains?

We do recommend that if you are booking an outdoor ceremony, a wet weather venue option be secured in the event of bad weather. We encourage your wet weather option be booked in advance to ensure the venue is suitable for the amount of guests attending and that is available on your wedding date. Please contact the events team to discuss your options.

What accommodation do you offer for the Bridal Couple and their Family & Friends?

The Gallery and Guest House Wedding packages are inclusive of accommodation for the bridal couple on the evening of the wedding. Should you be interested in looking at alternative guestrooms or for an extended stay, we would be most delighted to assist.

We understand you may have family and friends who require accommodation for your wedding. We would be pleased to extend preferred accommodation rates, subject to the number of guestrooms required and availability. Please contact the events team for further assistance.

What Décor and Decorations are included?

We are pleased to offer inclusive in your wedding package, the below items:

  • White linen and napkins
  • White frosted tea light candles
  • Table numbers
  • Menu cards
  • Cake table and cake knife
  • Personalised guest seating plan


Should you wish to arrange any further decorations or styling, this would be most welcome and we would be pleased to recommend our preferred partners for further assistance.

Can we have a band or DJ at our wedding?

You would be most welcome to arrange entertainment for your wedding. Please note that all entertainment must be approved by Park Hyatt Sydney in writing prior to being confirmed for your event. Bands and amplified music must reduce volume at 11:00 p.m., with all music concluding promptly by 11:00 p.m. A maximum of a three piece band is allowed, and please be advised drums of any kind are not permitted. Kindly note the musicians’ award stipulates that all entertainers must be provided with a meal. These are provided at a nominal charge to the event account.

Do you offer a Wedding Cake?

Unfortunately our kitchen does not provide wedding cakes however we would be pleased to offer cake service and presentation at your request.

What times can my vendors access the venue for set up?

Our wedding venues are traditionally booked twice daily, during the day until 5pm and in the evening from 6.30pm. For day events access for set up is from 9am. For evening events, access to set up is from 5:30pm. Should you require access for set up earlier than the above noted times, this will be confirmed upon your booking and contracting the earlier time period for your event.

Kindly note should the timings for access for your event differ from the above noted, Park Hyatt Sydney will advise in advance.

When must the venue be bumped out?

As we do not have storage facilities at Park Hyatt Sydney, your wedding must be packed up at the conclusion of the event. All vendors must be made aware of this arrangement upon confirmation of your booking.

Can our guests stay in the venue after midnight?

Your guests are most welcome to remain in the venue after midnight however this does need to be confirmed with the hotel in advance. A post-midnight surcharge of AUD$1000 per hour for venue rental is applicated to all events, based on the guaranteed number of guests.

Should there be a small number of guests wishing to continue celebrating after the conclusion of the wedding package, we recommend moving to The Bar located on the ground floor where food & beverages can be ordered.

How do my guests get to Park Hyatt Sydney?

Your guests will be able to drive to Park Hyatt Sydney. Undercover valet parking and paid street parking is available (subject to availability). Public transport is also accessible with Circular Quay and Wynyard train stations within 10 minute walk, as well as the Circular Quay Ferry Terminal.

Does the hotel have parking?

Undercover valet parking is available at AUD$45.00 per car per day (subject to availability). Kindly note that three complimentary valet

parking spaces are included in the Guest House and Gallery Wedding Packages.

   Alternatively, paid street parking is available along Hickson Road.

How do I confirm my wedding?

Kindly note that no event venue has been reserved at the time of enquiry. Rates quoted are valid for two weeks from date of your proposal and event venue is subject to availability at the time of booking. We require your confirmation within two weeks of the proposal being issued, in order to proceed with your booking. We will then issue a Letter of Agreement outlining deposit and cancellation policies.

What is the deposit to secure my wedding?

Once you have confirmed in writing that you would like to proceed with your wedding at Park Hyatt Sydney your wedding specialist will provide you a Letter of Agreement, Terms & Conditions, Credit Card Authorisation Form and request for payment.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required along with a signed Letter of Agreement, Terms & Conditions and completed credit card authority form within 2 weeks of receiving these documents to secure your wedding venue. Kindly note the deposit can be made via direct deposit, cash, cheque or credit card.

A completed credit card authorisation form and copy of the card must be provided to be placed on file as guarantee for your booking.

All payments made prior to the event day via credit card will incur a 1.87% handling fee.

What if none of the Wedding Packages are right for us?

Should our wedding packages not be suitable for your requests, we would be pleased to put together a customised package to meet your needs, making your wedding day perfect. Please contact our events team for further information.
