YES - but give your guests some options between this time should they not want to return home.
I'm considering a midweek or friday/sunday wedding... Should I?
Please help! Is it worth the savings to have a day other than saturday?
Absolutely - Its 2017 and anything goes so why not make it memorable ?
We have had a genuine increase in peak season of mid week and Sunday lunch receptions - You can enjoy reduced minimum spends - better spring summer flowers - nicer weather and who's friends are really not willing to take a day off ??
How do I choose the right sized venue for 100 guests?Toby M
Do you have any tips on how to choose the right sized venue for this number of guests?
There really is no right or wrong here as tiny rooms can feel much larger with lots of windows and huge rooms can feel tiny with out any -
It really comes down to the runsheet and style of reception(cocktail or plated)and if you aniticpate having lots of formatlities speeches etc you need to keep everyone together , if you are having only Canapes and grazing stations people will roam and it may not feel cramped and lastly spring summer your guests will want toenjoy the outdoors so perhaps factoring in outside lawn games will reduce teh number of guests inside simultaneously
What should I consider when looking for my wedding venue?Mon H
I'm about to start looking for my wedding venue. What are some things that I need to consider when searching for the perfect venue?
You should first consider weddings that you have been to previously and what you liked.
Get a list of your likes that the venues provided for example - was there ample and free parking ?? Was the food incredible?? Did they have something unique ??
From there apply these elements to venues you are considering as well as your couple deal breakers. Couple deal breakers are things that you both must have like - Flexibility to tailor your beverages or no Noise restrictions.
Use this little list at every venue as a reminder to ask the questions that really matter and ensure you are comparing everyone equally. Every couple is different so make sure you are able to work with a venue that encourages that !
How far in advance should I book my wedding venue?Sarah T
I don't want to miss out on my dream venue. So, how far in advance should I make the booking?
If your venue really is ticking all the boxes for you both then you must be prepared to wait 12-18months - It is also definitely worth considering out of peak dates like Sunday lunches which can be equally as romantic as their Saturday evening cousins but can often save a few pennies in minimum spends and be a unique experience for both you and your guests followed by a CRACKING after party !!!!!
