Cafe Birkenhead

Amazing venue for a wedding! Nothing was too hard for them. Able to fulfill every request and the food was delish! Highly recommended!

This review is long overdue. We had the pleasure of working with Cafe Birkenhead in 2022. The wedding planner, Airin, was so lovely and transparent about all the packages and the inclusion. She was very easy to communicate and easy to reach. The venue itself was simple and beautiful. It was what we envisioned for our wedding. And the views from the window were so beautiful. The food was amazing and surprisingly generous! All the wedding guests were shocked by how much food was on the plate! However, the reason I haven't given the venue 5 stars is because of the wedding night. The DJ that we were provided with was not very in tune with us. She didn't seem to know what she was doing. Additionally, though the wedding planner had communicated that she would be the one supervising the occasion, we suddenly were met with a stranger - we were not told in advanced that someone else would be supervising and this made it harder to approach her. She was not very accommodating, especially when she was kicking out one of the guests who was supposed to be on the guest list (my maid of honour was trying to convince her that this guest WAS on the wedding list that I had sent, but the planner ignored her). Furthermore, they also forgot the allergy list that I had provided them, and some of the guests had to go without food due to this mistake. Overall, we had a good experience of the venue, with some mistakes made on the night. (the fee we are displaying is a fee from 2022)

We had the most incredible wedding at Cafe B. From the start nothing was too hard for the venue and Airin the events planner. She helped work with us to achieve our dream wedding and was so happy to give us suggestions even for ceremony spots. The vibe on the night was perfect, fantastic food and beautiful set up. We even had a hangover breakfast at Cafe B the next Morning and were made to feel so welcome and celebrated! The DJ and MC provided were perfect Everything went in a timely manner but Airin and the MC adjusted the flow of the night to what our guests were feeling too! Honestly just the best and for the price that you pay it was just incredible value for money and in such a beautiful location.
