The St Andrews Conservatory is the jewel of Melbourne’s iconic St Andrews Hotel (formerly The Pumphouse Hotel).

By day, the Conservatory is filled with natural light spilling from its distinctive glass roof. This feature is hung with delicate bamboo lanterns which, in the evening, illuminate the venue and give a sense of romance. The cosy fireplace and the option for dance space add to the exceptional atmosphere and timeless style of the Conservatory.

We have been hosting wedding receptions in the Conservatory for over 25 years. We understand the organisation required to make your wedding day a success, which is why we offer all-inclusive packages. Our Seated Wedding Packages start from $175per person (including beverages).  Our Cocktail Wedding Packages start from $160 per person (including beverages).  

On your special day, you deserve nothing less than exceptional. Our multi award-winning Wedding Coordinators and professional staff strive to ensure you and your guests have a wonderful and memorable evening.

We are a family owned and operated business and in August 2021, hit the milestone of 25-years of weddings and events in the Conservatory. Things have certainly changed aesthetically over the years, however the one thing that we are most proud of is the continued and unwavering dedication to each and every wedding, making it uniquely yours. FAQ

Yes, children are more than welcome to attend your wedding held in the Conservatory.  We have special pricing for kids meals, please enquire within for further information.  

For a Seated Wedding, we can accommodate up to 122 people with a large dance floor.

For a Cocktail Wedding, we can accommodate 160 people with a dance floor.  

The best time to view the St Andrews Conservatory is any Saturday between 12pm and 5pm.  We will be setting the room for that evening's wedding and our Events Coordinator will be available to show you through and answer any queries. 

If a Saturday doesnt suit, we can arrange an alternative appointment during the week.  

Parking is available along Nicholson Street which is unmetered after 6pm on Saturdays and after 12pm on Sundays.

Alternatively, the Melbourne Museum has undercover parking available which is a very short distance from us.  

Absolutely! Whether it be the canape menu, or our seated wedding menu we can arrange a tasting for you.  Please contact us to discuss further.

We held our ceremony and reception at the St Andrews Conservatory earlier this month, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. We were really impressed by the package options, and loved that our guests could order from a menu instead of having to choose between alternate drop or shared meals. Jasmin, Jade, and especially Kiara were so easy to deal with. They responded to my countless emails about absolutely everything — from dietary requirements and seating plans to decorations — and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We were also given the option to do a tasting at another wedding hosted at the venue, which made choosing our menu so much easier. In the lead-up, we had meetings both onsite and over the phone to go through all the details, and we were able to drop off our decorations the day before and collect them after the wedding, which made everything so convenient. We received so many compliments on the venue, its beautiful location, and how incredible the staff and service were. Guests commented on how generous (and delicious!) the food portions were, and how attentive the waitstaff were throughout the night. We highly recommend St Andrews Conservatory to anyone looking for a stunning wedding venue with exceptional service!

We had the most incredible wedding at St Andrews! I honestly cannot praise their team highly enough. They were nothing short of brilliant throughout the entire planning process and on the night itself. With all our questions/ideas - nothing was too hard - it really was an incredible experience. We have received so many comments from our guests about how great the night was, how beautiful the venue looked, how delicious and abundant the food was and—most importantly—huge compliments on how fantastic the service and staff were. A special mention has to go to Jade, who was absolutely wonderful and so supportive right before I walked down the aisle. We cannot recommend St Andrews highly enough if you want a seamless, stress-free, and brilliant wedding day!

St Andrews was fantastic in all aspects from the planning to the execution on the day. All planning staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. They have been transparent with pricing in their food and beverage packages and flexible in sourcing anything outside of it. Our coordinators on the day were great in taking care of us (bride/groom) and ensuring our drinks were topped up. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests on how great the service on the night was.

St Andrews Conservatory did a PHENOMENAL job hosting our wedding reception. The venue is well looked after and the staff are very attentive. Every guest raved about the service they received and that the food was exquisite. We felt so relaxed thanks to their confidence and ease in running the show which you can't ask for much more on your wedding day!! Outside of the date the staff kept up regular communications and were generous and resourceful when it came to helping us through our planning meetings and letting us visit in both preparation and pack up of the event. On another note they really made us feel special and welcome, from the get go you will know you're in good hands. They deserve the highest praise possible for being integral to our perfect day
