Megan & Tom Reid founded The Garden Bar & Kitchen in 2019, fulfilling their dream of creating a top-tier restaurant and wedding venue on the Mid North Coast. With Megan's roots in South West Rocks and Tom's from England, they returned to the stunning coastal region to build their family and business. Does The Garden Bar & Kitchen have a wet weather option?

The Old Shed where the ceremony is held, is completely weatherproof.

The Restaurant where the reception is held is completely weatherproof.

What are the ceremony and reception start times?

Ceremony: Lunch: 11am, Evening 4pm
Reception: Lunch 12pm – 4pm, Evening 5pm – 11pm

Event bump in is available from 9:00am the day of your event and must be completed two hours prior to the start of your event. Bump out must be completed by 10am the day following your event or as negotiated with The Garden Bar.

Last drinks 30 minutes before the end of the event.

What is the capacity of the venue?

Ceremony standing capacity: 160, Seated capacity: 120
Reception standing capacity: 160, Seated capacity: 120

Is there a wedding co-ordinator?

Yes, you will have a designated wedding co-ordinator to assist with your wedding planning at The Garden Bar & Kitchen.

Yes, parking is available in the car park next to the restaurant and also out the front of The Old Cheese Factory.

OUTSTANDING CONSISTENCY IN FOOD, SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE. SO MUCH SO WE HAD OUR STUNNING WEDDING HERE…. Meg, you and your team were so accommodating, nothing was a trouble and you truly went above and beyond to make sure not only our wedding day, but the lead up was seamless. We regularly make the trip to have lunches and drinks overlooking the beautiful river. Thank you for everything Meg. You and you’re staff are always so welcoming no matter the occasion. We can't thank Garden Bar Frederickton enough! We had our wedding ceremony and reception hosted at the Garden Bar. Even before the wedding Meg made sure to meet with us and help get everything organized for our big day! She went above and beyond and it exceeded our expectations. The Garden Bar hosted over 100 guest and the food was phenomenal. We had a beautiful seafood and meat board for cocktail hour paired with fun cocktails. Then for dinner had lamb, chicken, duck fat potatoes, and a beautiful salad. The service was incredible, the vibes were amazing and the entire staff made our wedding reception so fun! Not to mention the beautiful scenery. We couldn't recommend getting married here enough!
