The Apollo International Hotel in Charlestown is the wedding venue that has it all. Located amongst rustic bushland between pristine Newcastle beaches and the tranquil Lake Macquarie, it is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. It’s the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photos and a relaxed setting for drinks and canapes with your guests.
The Apollo can do everything, from hosting your ceremony and reception, to providing accomodation for you and your guests, and offering a beautiful backdrop for photos so you don't even have to leave the venue.
The outdoor rotunda is the ideal spot for a garden ceremony right next to the function rooms and surrounded by native bush. Guests can sip sparkling wine and nibble on gourmet delicacies in the gardens before entering the reception to greet the special couple.
Choose from an elegant sit-down meal in our Apollo room right next to the sparkling pool or spend the evening grazing on canapes and platters while you mingle with your guests.
The Apollo also saves the hassle of arranging accommodation for both the bridal couple and guests by offering special wedding party rates for anyone choosing to stay the night (or two!) The bride and groom will be treated to a deluxe suite to spend their wedding night complete with sparkling wine, chocolates and breakfast for two in the morning.

Our wedding coordinator, Vanessa, has an extensive background in events and hospitality. Her efficiency and understanding will ensure that planning your wedding is a smooth and easy experience. She will work closely with you to help bring your vision to life and create the wedding of your dreams.

Winter Wedding Special
This year we are offering an extra special offer for weddings booked for the months of June, July and August in 2023 or 2024. We will provide decorations for your ceremony or reception from either Love Glows or Cinderina Wedding and Event Hire to the value of $500.
Minimum spend applies- you must book the seated wedding package and 3 hour beverage package with a minimum of 60 guests.

Yes we have 120 free parking spots, with easy access to the ceremony area and reception room.
We offer a variety of beverage options to suit the individual couples needs. You can choose to have a beverage package for 3, 4 or 5 hours, a bar tab or cash bar. You can also mix and match these options.
Our lovely restaurant Babbingtons Bar and Grill, with stunning bushland and pool views is our wet weather option at no additional cost to you. Your wedding coordinator will assit you and your suppliers should you need to use the wet weather option.
Yes, we offer a childrens menu and drinks package. We are also proud to offer a vareity of entertainment options for children while attending your wedding.
