Nestled in the heart of the Margaret River region on Metricup Road, Eight Willows Retreat is surrounded by the iconic South West Jarrah Forest. This picturesque 75-acre property, overlooking parkland, natural lakes and the Celestial Bay vineyards, offers an idyllic all-in one destination for your ceremony, reception, and guest accommodation.
Our friendly and experienced team is here to bring your vision to life, coordinating every detail from bridal party and guest accommodation to ceremony and reception setup, pack-down, and on-day management. To make planning effortless, we also provide a curated list of trusted stylists, photographers, vendors, and local producers, allowing you to relax and enjoy a joyful weekend with loved ones.
Choose from stunning ceremony locations from the breathtaking Bush Chapel, stunning lakeside Gazebo and Willow Tree settings, let one of our illustrious rural backdrops enhance the romance of your day. The property also features a variety of unique photo backdrops, such as Carters Road, the lakeside jetty, natural bushland, the orchard, olive plantation, and the surrounding vineyards.
Our stylish lakeside function centre, built in 2014 with contemporary architectural design, offers a versatile and elegant setting for your reception. Soft furnishings, a striking stone fireplace, a full bar, and a commercial kitchen complement the space, while panoramic views of the lake, bushland, and vines create an unforgettable atmosphere. A sweeping veranda alfresco area and accessible, paved walkways from the chalets ensure comfort for all guests.

Being in the southwest, the weather can be unpredictable. We have a perfect Plan B, which is our Lakeside Function Centre. We can move your ceremony either inside or outside under our veranda.
The pre-reception is held along our veranda /outdoor area at the function centre with beverages served from our outside bar. Usual start time is 5:00pm however this is flexible and is usually determined by your ceremony start and end time. If you choose to have your entire wedding reception outside, then we will continue to serve from our outdoor bar for the duration of the evening.
EWR sets up 48 White gladiator chairs & a small white signing table with matching chairs. If you choose to use our arbour, we will set that up as well.
We do not have an inhouse catering team therefore you are welcome to engage a caterer of your choosing. We have a list of caterers we can recommend.
Yes, the function centre opens at 8am. If we do not have a wedding or event the day prior, you can request access to the function centre on that day. The function centre closes at 5pm on non-event days.
Beverage service concludes at 11:30pm sharp & the function centre shuts at 11:59pm.
Last song must conclude by 11:45pm.
We setup our tables, tablecloths, napkins, glassware, crockery, cutlery, gift table, cake barrel & speech barrel. As well as any items hired from EWR such as festoon lights.
EWR can setup items such as your wishing well, neon sign, favours, seating chart, menus and name cards.
We do not setup florals/greenery or any items that need to be put together/assembled.
We offer three beverage packages: BYO, Premium or Ultimate.
If you elect one of our beverage packages, we order all of your chosen beverages for you. Please note you will not be given any left over beverages post wedding.
If you choose our BYO option, you are to source your own beverages. Please note this does not mean your guests are allowed to bring their own beverages. You will need to arrange delivery of your beverages for the day prior to your wedding ( beverages can be delivered the day of if they are already chilled). Your beverages will need to be stacked in our cool room. From here EWR staff will stock both the inside and outside bars and will serve you and your guests for the entirety of your beverage service hours.
Both the BYO Package and EWR Packages are for a 6.5 hour duration. Additional hours can be added for a cost, please discuss with the function team.
As the function center area is in our licensed area, our functions team will serve all your beverages. For cocktail style weddings, this includes an indoor, outdoor bar and for sit down packages, table service.
Accomodation is optional, however, we believe it's a big perk to hosting your wedding with us and allows you and your guests to enjoy the day and evening without worrying about coaches, travel etc.

Eight Willows Retreat is a picturesque property surrounded by the iconic South West Jarrah Forest, located in the heart of the Margaret River region on Metricup Road, just North of Margaret River and South of Busselton and Dunsborough.
Set within 75 acres of natural bush and parkland garden, our state-of-the-art function centre was built in 2014 with modern architecture and design. Soaring windows capture beautiful lake and forest views, whilst natural timber and stone finishes shape a large open-plan dining area which can be turned into two unique reception rooms. A statement stone fireplace and bar, large commercial kitchen and sweeping veranda alfresco add to the versatility of this all-weather venue.

Eight Willows Retreat can comfortably seat 150 guests for a sit down wedding or up to 270 for cocktail style.
We have preferred caterers but clients are also allowed to present their own caterer (conditions apply)
We are situated next to a large lake with sprawling grass and gardens.
