Barunah Plains

Barunah Plains is a stunning and unique location located 30min from Geelong and 10 minutes to Inverleigh. The Barunah Plains  homestead was built in 1866 it is one of the oldest homesteads in Victoria.  The homestead and its grounds are the perfect spot for your wedding ceremony followed by drinks on the perfectly manicured croquet lawns or by the pool. 

With many locations on the property to hold your reception you can decide what suits you best. Take a walk with your guests over the bridge to the marquee lawn.  From the MArquee lawn look back over the  rock wall, creek and homestead or if the marquee is not your thing we have the incredible Barunah Plains bluestone shearing shed to have your rception in. The only limit for your wedding is your imagination!  If you are after a formal wedding or a festival feel, we have the perfect location on the property for you. 

This unique property and infrastructure is a one off and certainly is the perfect spot to celebrate with your guests for the weekend.

The Homestead

10 Bedrooms - formal dining room, formal sitting room, billiards room, swimming pool, tennis court and 4.5 bathrooms. The homestead has space for everyone. Sleeping 22 people the space is fantastic for you to get ready for your wedding or relax the days following. 

The Shearer’s Quarters

16 Bedrooms, sleeping 42 guests.  The shearers quarters are perfect for sleeping extra guests.  With a large commercial kitchen, dining room, and large living space,   It’s the perfect spot for your guest to stay on site and great for  a recovery the next day.

The Jackaroo Quarters
6 Queen bedrooms with their own ensuites. these rooms are perfect for people wanting a little bit of luxary. 

Once thy are all full you have the option to glamp.

Glamping 

Sleeping as many people as you need. We have teamed up with the wonderful people at twilight glamping to offer you and your guests a amazing glamping experience. The best part is they do everything for you , including taking payments for anyone who books. 

Located 30min from Geelong and 10 minutes to Inverleigh its easy to run busses to the hotels in Geelong or to the coast.
