We had our ceremony on the balcony. It was just beautiful. I wanted a venue that represented Melbourne. The dinging of trams in the background as we said 'i do' ... can't get much more iconic than that!
The portico was beautiful, staff exceptional and great facilities. Luckily we didn't need our back up plan, but was grateful that the Town Hall contacted us to put one in place since our wedding was on "Melbourne's wettest day since '92". Wouldn't have done it anywhere else.
Amazing venue and service
They knew what they were doing, and had really experienced staff, and were very flexible with us as well. It's great that we could turn up and everything we discussed with them was all done!
Katie and her team were fantastic at helping us pull together a ceremony with relatively short notice. It is a spectacular setting on the balcony at the Portico Room and something that we loved, and so did our guests. Worth a look for CBD wedding plans.
