The Bluewater

Well where do I start – from the first moment we had contact with the Events Manager (Simone) at The Bluewater, we felt very welcomed and confident that this is who we wanted to oversee our wedding. We had attended other venues to obtain ideas and quotes but we did not receive the same level of enthusiasm and assistance as we did with the Bluewater Lighthouse venue. Simone gave us as much time as we needed to discuss our requirements and she was always available to either speak to or email any queries we had. Her knowledge in the wedding industry is amazing, a very talented event co-ordinator. Our only real special request for our day was that we wanted the day to be “pretty” and a little laid back and this was absolutely achieved from the beautiful set up at Angel Cove for our ceremony to when we walked into the reception under a mirage of beautiful fairy lights lit up like a lighthouse with the amazing beach themed decorations. The attention to detail was so beautiful. The venue, Simone, all the staff were beautiful, meal and drinks menu amazing that made our day so very special and memorable. Guests told us it was the best wedding they had been to which is a testament in itself. Thank you Simone and The Bluewater Lighthouse venue, this will be our very special day we will never forget!!!!

We had our wedding at the Bluewater, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, Simone went above and beyond to make our day perfect. She was incredibly supportive, eased all my anxiety, and was there every step of the way with quick responses, helpful advice, and a calm, reassuring presence. The venue was beautiful, and the food was amazing—our guests are still raving about it! Every detail was taken care of, and it all came together so smoothly thanks to Simone’s dedication and hard work. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Bluewater was the perfect setting for our wedding - beautiful, relaxed, and so well put together. The function space upstairs is stunning with fantastic views of the marina, but what really made the experience so special was working with the events manager Simone. She was calm, organised, and genuinely cared about making our day exactly how we imagined it. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. She had great ideas but worked with us to plan and make decisions as we wanted. We left it up to her to decide on the table settings with our beachy theme and we had no regrets, it looked fantastic! Simone kept everything on track on the day without ever making it feel stressful, and somehow managed to be behind the scenes making things happen while still feeling completely present and supportive. Every time we turned around with an empty glass she was there with a new one and right before the big moment she was there with water and mints for a fresh first kiss. The day went off without a hitch. Everything flowed so naturally, and we were able to just turn up and participate in the day knowing that Simone had everything under control. The food was above and beyond what was expected everyone commented on how fantastic and tasty the food was. We didn’t expect the food to be bad but for a buffet style we were blown away at how tasty everything was. It was honestly the best day of our lives, and a big part of that is thanks to Simone and her team. If you're planning your wedding, we can't recommend them enough and it’s now a nice place we can go to celebrate little wins in life and reminisce on the experience we had for our wedding.

Rhett and Ezra Wedding October 4, 2025 We would like to start this review by saying we highly recommend The Blue Water Bar and Grill 10000000000000000 % to everyone who is looking for a venue/supplier. Simone is very accommodating since day 1 of our wedding planning. From the day we enquired until days after our wedding she stayed genuine. We never felt scared that we might be asking silly questions even in times we ran out of ideas, she always have the answer. We are the type of couple who is practical and we didn’t want to spend crazy money for our wedding and sometimes when talking to suppliers this can feel intimidating but with Simone it feels like we can talk about budget without the feeling of being judged. Talking about finances with her feels comfortable. It never felt she was “selling” it felt like she really cares and that’s what made us feel we definitely made the right choice. Simone, you are truly an extraordinary wedding event manager. You made our dream wedding become a beautiful reality with such passion and creativity. Every detail you touch becomes something magical, and your patience, warmth, and professionalism shines through in everything you do. As a bride planning a wedding you are like my wedding fairy god-mother. As Rhett’s groomsman said in his speech, our wedding looks like it came out from a fairytale and this wouldn’t be possible without your help. Simone’s decorating skills are top notch, all we did was tell her what theme we are after, color preferences and send some sample photos from pinterest then she does her “simone effect” then voilahhhh literally it’s like she have a magic wand. Everything we have imagined, how we want the set up to look like came out exactly how we want it to be. Trusting her was the right choice. I am very OCD with these things and I over think and over stress but my hubby said… let her do her thing and I was happy I listened. To all the couples who are looking for a beach wedding and a romantic reception, do yourself a favour and stop looking. Go straight to The Bluewater Bar and Grill. We had a lot of excellent compliments about the beach and reception set up and the food OMG we can’t stop eating. If food is a big factor to your wedding planning, then yes , we can definitely say the food was yummmm. We would like to thank Simone and the whole team of The Bluewater Bar and Grill. Thank you for making our wedding day one to cherish for the rest of our lifetime. We can go on and on saying nice things but I feel like it wouldn’t be enough. Your team is truly a blessing to us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible experience! We had our wedding at Bluewater, and I honestly can’t express how amazing everything was. From start to finish, Simone made the whole process effortless and completely stress-free — she handled every detail with such professionalism and care that we literally didn’t have to do a thing! A huge shoutout to all the staff as well — they were so attentive, friendly, and made the day run perfectly. The food was an absolute 10/10 — everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was! If you’re planning a wedding or any special event, I can’t recommend Bluewater and Simone enough. You’ll be in the best hands and I promise, you won’t be disappointed.
