Real Candles:
Authentic Ambience: The natural flicker and warm glow create a romantic, intimate atmosphere that’s hard to replicate.
Scent & Aesthetic: They can add a subtle fragrance and elevate the overall styling with a timeless, elegant touch.
Fake LED Candles:
Safety & Convenience: No fire risk, making them perfect for venues with restrictions or windy outdoor settings.
Reusable & Reliable: They last all night (and beyond), with no wax mess or need to relight during the celebration.
Cost:
LED candles … cost more initially but last much longer” for repeated use.
Real candles are usually cheaper upfront but need replacement after they burn down.
Hope this helps, either way candles are a must for me to create that magical romantic ambiance ?
Warm regards
Denise

Adding candles to your wedding day is a great way to create ambience, and they’re a staple in my styling set-ups. However, the question is which is cheaper: fake candles or real ones?
The answer is fake candles, but real candles look amazing and I would always recommend them to my brides. If you want to reduce costs, ask your stylist if pre-used candles are an option. At the end of an event, we always have candles that still have many hours of burn time, which is a much cheaper option and will provide you with the look you’re after.
It’s also possible to use a combination of real and fake candles to reduce the overall cost. However, fake candles are recommended for outdoor use in windy situations to ensure they stay lit during your ceremony.
Contact Luxe Creation’s now to find out how we can create an event design that meets your expectations while keeping your costs manageable.

There are pros and cons for both, particularly if you are providing the candles and glass surrounds.
PROS & Cons of Real Candles
*Real candles probably look nicer, but many venues will not allow their use
*They often need to be in closed containers such as glass vases, which can cost quite a lot to buy
*The glass cylinders/vases need to be cleaned after use and this can be time consuming
* A pro is that you can reuse the remainder of the candles at home or some other time.
*Can be bought in packs of 4 at places like Red Dot, Reject Shop and Spotlight at very reasonable prices.
*Can melt in sun or hot vehicles
Pros & Cons of Fake Candles
*There is usually no limit on their use at venues
*There are flickering ones that look really nice
*Some have the ability to change their colour if required
*Dont usually require closed containers and no fire risk
*Vases etc will need to be cleaned after use....yes they do melt and leave a residue.
*Can be reused time and time again or sold on
*Battery cost needs to be factored in
*Can melt in sun or hot vehicles and will warp and bend if not stored carefully. Let them cool before you pack away.
A pro is that they do not blow out
I hope this helps. :-) Deb
