Is boho outdated?

My mum wants me to go boho but I think it's a bit dated, is it?

Great question!

Boho definitely isn’t outdated. It’s one of those styles that’s stuck around because it can be so beautifully personal and versatile. While the “classic” boho look has shifted over time, it’s really about the vibe — relaxed, natural, a bit whimsical — and that still resonates with a lot of couples.

What’s really lovely is how people are putting their own spin on it now. Whether you want something more earthy and laid-back, or more of a modern feel, there’s plenty of room to make it feel fresh and completely your own.

If you’re leaning in that direction, I'd be more that happy to talk you through it.

Warm regards, Ebony

The boho style has definitely made its mark and remains a favourite among many of our couples. That said, we do feel it is time to welcome something new and fresh back into the wedding scene.

We still adore the boho look, especially because it matches many couples’ personalities and their chosen venues, but we are excited to see fresh inspiration stepping into the spotlight alongside it.

Here are some styles we are currently loving:

  • Timeless contemporary whites that remain a classic
  • Vibrant spring and summer colour palettes
  • A touch of lush greenery
  • Fresh posies of flowers and wild flowers
  • Statement flower peices and moody hues with deep reds that make a striking statement
  • Popular accent colours such as soft blues, purples, greens, oranges and gentle pinks

Most importantly, it is your day and you should do exactly what feels right for you. There are no rules here and we are all about making sure your wedding reflects your dreams.
