Hi! I’m a bit confused about the whole wedding stylist/planner/co-ordinator as well. If I was to source a stylist, would my fiancé and I just tell them our vision and they source ALL the equipment (ie centrepieces and floral arrangements etc) or do they just co-ordinate vendors and co-ordinate pricing and budget for us?

Dear Bride
Congratulations on your big day. To plan a wedding can take a lot of time atleast 150 to 200 hours if it is a very high end wedding. I am aware that this can be very confusing. Now a days most Planners are Stylist and Designers too. All companies offer diffrent packages. Stylist of a wedding is the person who is bringing your Design together , this only happen after you meet a professional and discuss your vision. Usually the Designer or Stylist (maybe the same person) will meet with you as couple, work on the Design Consept and then the Stylist will bring it all together. Planner is the person who Plan , souring the vendors, meeting with them, handle all the Logistics of wedding, budget , timeline ect. Our company offer Full Planning packages. This include every aspect right from the beginning. Designing a concept, soucing all the Vendors, Venue, decorations, props , and then bring it all together and Style your wedding. On the day coordination is the planner making sure it all runs smooth on the day.
If you need any help with bringing your vision to life, we happy to help you. We offer diffrent pacakages not just FULL PLANNING, also some partial planning, design and styling packages. Our company also provide prop rental.
Good luck

Dear Bride,
Thanks for your question. Alot of brides are confused about the roles of Planner vs Stylist. If you use a stylist they would source all the styling requirements for the wedding, including the centrepieces, wishing well, cake table and any other items that you require. They set up the wedding and pack it down at the end.
A planner usually coordinates all the vendors and is onsite on the day to oversee the smooth running of the wedding. At Events With Distinction we do both roles and can assist with the lead up to your wedding and styling and coordination on the day. Good luck with everything.
regards
